GoodBerry partners at ISFC in January 2020

As part of the GoodBerry consortium Dr. Erika Krüger (Hochschule Geisenheim), Peter Melis (Proefcentrum Hoogstraten) and Arne Stensvand (Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research) attended the International Soft Fruit Conference 2020 on January 09 in 's-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands.

The meeting was organized by Delphy Team Softfruit and was sponsored by numerous companies of the soft fruit industry. ISFC 2020 drew people from the entire European berry industry, with 7-800 attendees from more than 40 countries. It included an exhibition and trade show where soft fruit related companies and organizations presented their newest developments and services. Thirteen invited speakers from research institutions and advisory services presented new achievements from their work. So did three representatives from the GoodBerry project by giving presentations related to the project. Arne Stensvand had a presentation on physical means to control powdery mildew, Erika Krüger talked about flower initiation in strawberry and raspberry in four areas of Europe, and Peter Melis had a presentation on the manipulation of everbearers to steer harvest peaks and yielding. Additionally, the GoodBerry team had a stand at the exhibition, informing about the project.
