Public Consultation on future Horizon 2020 Work Programme for Societal Challenge 2

What are the challenges that require urgent action under the next Work Programme in the areas covered by the Societal Challenge „Food Security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy“ (SC2)? Can you pin down any gaps that need to be taken into account?

If you would like to help setting up a more targeted and optimized work programme, you are now asked to share your thoughts: On June 06, 2016, the European Commission has opened a public consultation to collect views and opinions on the strategy, scope, objectives, and expected impacts of the Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2018-2020 for Societal Challenge 2.

Anyone is welcome to participate in the consultation, but members of science and research organisations are particularly encouraged to have a say. Contributions can be submitted before August 28, 2016 by completing an on-line questionnaire that is expected to take around 15 minutes.

The contributions will be taken into account for the preparation of the next Work Programme 2018-2020. The document is expected to be prepared by the beginning of 2017 with publication of calls for proposals in autumn of 2017. A short summary and analysis of the replies will be published online in September 2016.
