2nd GoordBerry progress meeting and berry school in Bordeaux

Despite the stormy weather, the GoodBerry consortium gathered at the premises of the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA) in Bordeaux for a fruitful 2nd annual meeting from March 12-13, 2018. Over two days, the partners shared their work progress and set an agenda for the upcoming year. A recurring topic in the discussions was the feedback received during the first review meeting and the subsequent report. Additionally, scientific advisory board member Pedro Brás de Oliveira from the Instituto Nacional de Investigação Agrária e Veterinária in Portugal joined the group and gave recommendations based on his scientific expertise and experience in previous research projects.

Reaching the middle of the project, the consortium further enhances its efforts in the dissemination and exploitation of results. In a dedicated exploitation session key expected results, already defined in the project beginning, were further refined and possible routes towards the relevant stakeholders were identified. This joint strategy will be updated continuously and will be used as a basis for the exploitation of first GoodBerry results.

As in 2017 the annual meeting was followed by a berry school, aimed at capacity building within and outside the consortium. Many GoodBerry partners were actively involved in the school hosting sessions, participating and joining the field trip. An insider’s account of the four day event will follow soon…

Overall the partners returned home after a successful week with valuable input regarding their scientific work and lots of motivation for the upcoming months.
